Imagine, if you will, being crushed by a shipping container full of anvils. Got that? Good. Because you'll need that coming into this EP. Augurs are a four piece band from Oakland, California who are producing some music of considerable heft. Augurs have taken the best out of multiple genres (D-beats, hardcore breakdowns, doom riffs, sludgy feedback) and smooshing them into the gnarly beast that is this release. Old Ways is a criminally short EP, and with only three tracks it will leave you wanting more, so here's hoping Augurs keep the good stuff coming in 2014.
