‘Heaven Knows’
Greyscale
2013
(Band submission)
Review by Laurence Grimwood
Genre/s: Screamo, Post-hardcore, Math rock
For fans of: Maths, City of Caterpillar, Her Breath On Glass
When an emo band actually makes you feel depressed, you know they must be doing something right. Greyscale seemed to have worked out what that something is and have used it to create this really nice two-song EP. Greyscale layer intricate guitar lines, technical math-rock style drums and beautiful lyrics combine to form this superb example of modern genre-crossing screamo. If you feel like remembering all the failed relationships and lonely nights of your past, give this band a listen.
TRACKLISTING:
1. Cassidy
2. Tulip
