Genre/s: Punk
For Fans Of: Rudimentary Peni, Flux Of Pink Indians, Una Bestia Incontrolable, Iceagae
So you like first wave punk, huh? How about anarcho-punk, yeah? I suppose you want a bit of post punk and noise-rock (not too much though) too? Well I present you with Sokea Piste, a band that mixes the aforementioned genres into one big bubbling pot o gold. The four-piece bands hails from Tampere, Finland, and their music is a caustic mix of paranoia, claustraphobia and aggression, presented in rhythmic - almost tribal tracks. The vocals are snarled shouted or spoken in Finnish (a language that just sounds so good with punk), and over the top of the moody and discordant guitar, and pounding drums it creates a rather brooding atmosphere.
