City Of Caterpillar are really a band that needs no introduction. One of the first bands to start utilizing the potent screamo/post rock combination (a style that has since been bastardized by many a mediocre band), CoC's music was intricate and complex yet heartfelt and sincere. Certainly a band that knew how to take their time, CoC display a quiet/loud dynamic like no other, with slow, painstaking build ups to sudden bursts of abrasive riffing, screaming and intense drumming. More atmospheric than 'twinkly', it's a raw, accomplished bit of screamo history.
