Excuse me while I scrub my body clean after listening to this filthy, filthy LP. Rectal Hygienics are sludge-y, hardcore/noise rock outfit out of Chicago, who last year put out this little bit of unpleasantness. Even The Flies Won't Touch You combines the abrasiveness and obscenity of a Brainbombs release and blends it with the ground shattering heaviness of a sludge release. This almost sounds like a power electronics album, with mad rants being barked over a wall of feedback and oppressively slow, grooving riffs. Maybe one of the dirtiest things to come out of 2013, but also one of the best. Go run a bath, you'll need it after this.
